Brasil - Kekeringan ekstrem melanda sungai-sungai di negara bagian Amazonas, Brasil. Kondisi ini mengancam ekosistem dan kehidupan sekitar.

Rumah-rumah terapung yang terdampar terlihat di Sungai Solimoes, dekat Tefe, negara bagian Amazonas, Brasil, salah satu anak sungai terbesar di Sungai Amazon, selama penerbangan Greenpeace, Selasa (17/9/2024).

Fenomena ini mengancam ekosistem dan kehidupan sekitar.

Dalam pemantauan terbaru oleh Greenpeace, terlihat sebuah rumah apung terdampar di gundukan pasir Sungai Solimoes, salah satu anak sungai terbesar di Amazon.

Menurut Pusat Nasional untuk Pemantauan dan Peringatan Dini Bencana Alam (Cemaden), ini adalah kekeringan paling parah dan meluas yang pernah terjadi di Brasil sejak catatan dimulai pada 1950.
