Brasil - Wilayah Brasil Selatan dilanda kekeringan terburuk dalam 10 tahun terakhir. Kekeringan ini mengakibatkan 15-20 ton ikan mati di perairan payau.

Kekeringan mempengaruhi Lagoa do Peixe (Fish Lagoon) di Tavares, negara bagian Rio Grande do Sul, negara bagian Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil.

Wilayah Tavares, Rio Grande do Sul state, Brasil dilanda kekeringan terburuk dalam 10 tahun terakhir.

Dilaporkan Brasil Selatan menjadi wilayah yang paling parah dilanda kekeringan.

Kondisi ini turut mendongkrak harga pangan dan listrik.

Nelayan Daniel de Matos Rosa memprediksi 15-20 ton ikan telah mati di perairan payau yang terletak sekitar 230 km (140 mil) dari selatan kota Porto Alegre.

Brasil telah mendesak warganya untuk membatasi penggunaan air dalam upaya untuk mengatasi kekeringan.
