Arab Saudi - Ritual ibadah haji akan segera dimulai. Pemeriksaan warga yang melintas di Kota Suci Makkah diperketat.

Seorang polisi Saudi memeriksa kendaraan di pos pemeriksaan di Kota Suci Makkah, menjelang ibadah haji tahunan, Kamis (15/7).

Setiap kendaraan yang akan masuk ke Makkah diperiksa dengan ketat ini terkait adanya pandemi COVID-19.

Pemerintah Arab Saudi memutuskan untuk membatasi pendaftaran haji tahun ini hanya untuk warga dan penduduk di negaranya sehubungan adanya pandemi virus Corona. Untuk kali ini, hanya 60.000 orang yang diizinkan untuk melakukan salah satu rukun Islam itu.

Sementara itu, protokol COVID-19 yang ketat juga diberlakukan di Masjidil Haram di Mekkah dan Masjid Nabawi di Madinah. Jemaah akan diwajibkan menjaga jarak dan setiap barang bawaan akan selalu didisinfeksi secara berkala. Selain itu, aturan pembatasan dalam ruangan juga akan diperketat.
