Ratusan Mainan Jadi Simbol Aksi Kekerasan Pada Anak

Bogota - Organisasi SOS Children's Villages menempatkan ratusan mainan di alun-alun Kolombia sebagai bentuk protes keras kekerasan terhadap anak.

Ratusan boneka binatang, boneka, dan figur aksi diletakkan di alun-alun Bolivar untuk memprotes kekerasan terhadap anak-anak di Bogota, Kolombia, Senin (30/11/2020) waktu setempat.

Protes itu dilakukan oleh SOS Children's Villages cabang Kolombia, sebuah organisasi yang berfokus membantu anak-anak yang tidak memiliki pengasuhan orang tua dan telah mendirikan rumah untuk anak yatim piatu di lebih dari 100 negara.

Angela Rosales, direktur desa SOS Children di Kolombia mengatakan bahwa lebih dari 30.000 anak di Kolombia saat ini tumbuh di panti asuhan karena kehilangan orang tua, atau telah dipisahkan dari keluarga karena kekerasan dalam rumah tangga.

Aksi protes tersebut juga untuk menuntut pemerintah Kolombia untuk meningkatkan pengeluaran pada program-program yang membantu anak-anak menghadapi kekerasan dalam rumah tangga

Rosales juga meminta pemerintah Kolombia untuk membuat reformasi sistem peradilan yang akan mengarah pada lebih banyak hukuman terhadap pelecehan anak. SOS Children's Villages mencatat hanya 3% kasus pelecehan anak di Kolombia yang berakhir dengan hukuman.
